Interferometric Reflectance Imaging Sensor


Isha is studying Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Nanotechnology and a concentration in Business Technology Innovation. Isha is interested in biological sensors, tissue and cellular engineering, entrepreneurship, solar energy, and laser photonics. She is not only an active member of our lab, but she is also a very active member within the community of the University. She enjoys dancing, playing field hockey, learning about different cultures, listening to music, and meeting new people and learning about his/her hobbies.

Project: Isha is currently working to develop a sensitive assay for protein biomarkers in whole blood for point of care applications. The goal of her project to is to decrease the time and increase the sensitivity of the assay. This project is applicable to cancer detection and determination of allergen sensitization. She hopes to develop a method where doctors can test for a specific allergen or cancer and get the results as quickly as possible.
